            Basketball Recap: Seabreeze Sandcrabs vs. New Smyrna Beach Barracudas        
        
		
        
        
            Seabreeze was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They took  a  41-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Smyrna Beach Barracudas. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sandcrabs of the  44-43 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in January of 2023.
 Despite the  loss, Seabreeze saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Reece Casto  went 6 of 14  on his way to 16  points. That was a full 47.1% of Seabreeze's points, marking the third time in a row he's   posted  more than a third of the team's points.  Jeremiah Outler was another key player,  putting up six points and five  rebounds.
 New Smyrna Beach got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Ray Knight out in front who  went 6 for 7  en route to 14  points and eight  boards. That's the most points  Knight has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Owen Mclaughlin, who  scored ten  points in addition to five  rebounds and five  blocks.
Seabreeze's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for New Smyrna Beach, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven games,  which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record  this season.
 Seabreeze has already played their next matchup,  a  39-38  win against Pine Ridge on the 30th. As for New Smyrna Beach, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  contest,  a  66-46  victory against Flagler Palm Coast on the 30th.
