Basketball Recap: Stewarts Creek Comes Up Short

Stewarts Creek lost against Lebanon back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Stewarts Creek Red Hawks lost to the Lebanon Blue Devils on the road by a 61-47 margin.

Lebanon's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tiara Spencer, who went 6-for-14 on her way to 17 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rolandria Dowell, who posted ten points and eight rebounds.

Stewarts Creek's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Lebanon, their victory was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stewarts Creek will challenge Cookeville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cookeville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.1 points per game this season. As for Lebanon, they will square off against Wilson Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lebanon also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 58.2 points per game.
