The Riverdale Ridge Ravens will take on the Niwot Cougars at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Riverdale Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Riverdale Ridge made easy work of Northglenn and carried off a 7-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Ravens.

Nick Williams was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Brophy, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Niwot lost a heartbreaker to Skyline when they met back in April of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Thursday. Niwot fell just short of Skyline by a score of 11-10. The Cougars have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
Charlie Shaw led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Nico Castro was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Riverdale Ridge pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Niwot, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
Saturday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Riverdale Ridge hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .327. However, it's not like Niwot struggles in that department as they've averaged .333. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
