Basketball Recap: Westbrook Christian Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Glencoe

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Westbrook Christian walked away with it. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Glencoe Yellowjackets 41-39. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Warriors' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 284th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 134th).

Despite the loss, Glencoe had strong showings from Kinlee Montgomery, who posted 16 points and four steals, and Chloe Douglas, who put up ten points. Montgomery is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played.

Westbrook Christian's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Glencoe, their record is now 17-8.

As of now, neither Westbrook Christian nor Glencoe have any future games scheduled.
