Basketball Recap: Mead Takes a Loss

Mead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 32nd straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 41-23 bruising from the Falls City Tigers. The Raiders lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 55-10 score last time.

Jersey O'Brien was Mead's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Elizabeth Brennan held things down on the boards with nine rebounds. Riley Koranda took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Mead's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Falls City, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.

Mead will take on Weeping Water at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Falls City, they will face off against East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
