Softball Recap: Fruitland Comes Up Short

Fruitland lost against La Grande on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Grizzlies lost 19-5 to the Tigers. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Faith Newman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Fruitland now has a losing record of 6-7. As for La Grande, the win keeps they at an undefeated 10-0.

Fruitland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-2 loss against Weiser on the 7th. La Grande has also already played their next contest (against Baker/Powder Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
