Central York has gone 8-2 against New Oxford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will welcome the Colonials at 4:15 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Central York sitting on six straight victories and New Oxford on three.
It was a proper cat-fight when Central York faced off against Red Lion on Wednesday. The Panthers walked away with an 8-3 win over the Lions.

Elizabeth Ferrell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brooklyn Shaffer, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Ashlyn Weigle was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.
Shaffer wasn't the only one making solid contact: Central York kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, New Oxford made easy work of Northeastern on Wednesday and carried off a 17-2 victory. Considering the Colonials have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Miranda Leatherman was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Leatherman was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, New Oxford got a big performance out of Isabelle Donnelly, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Maura Shirk, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Central York pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for New Oxford, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Both Central York and New Oxford just can't seem to miss. The Panthers have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.3 hits per game. However, it's not like New Oxford struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.6 hits.
