Lamar waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Midlands STEM Charter Mavericks 11-1. The Silver Foxes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Cody Barr, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Hill, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Lamar's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Midlands STEM Charter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
