Volleyball Recap: Faith Academy's Winning Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Faith Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Montgomery Catholic Knights on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Rams' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

While Faith Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 25-16.

Faith Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Kyleigh Grosz and Mylee Stagner. Grosz had 12 digs and one assist, while Stagner had eight digs.

Faith Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 34-12. As for Montgomery Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-12 record this season.

Faith Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against UMS-Wright Prep on the 23rd. Montgomery Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
