Baseball Game Preview: New Covenant Academy Warriors vs. Weaubleau Tigers

The New Covenant Academy Warriors will take on the Weaubleau Tigers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Weaubleau took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on New Covenant Academy, who comes in off a win.

New Covenant Academy gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over Crane. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

New Covenant Academy's win was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brighton Guisinger, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Weaubleau's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against Skyline, falling 9-1.

New Covenant Academy now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Weaubleau, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

New Covenant Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Weaubleau when the teams last played back in April of 2019, sneaking past 7-5. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
