Volleyball Recap: Dell Rapids Wins High-Profile Contest Against Lennox

Dell Rapids faced Lennox in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Quarriers walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Orioles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Quarriers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Dell Rapids was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 20-25, 25-9, 25-21.

Madelynn Henry paced Dell Rapids' offense, picking up 22 kills. Henry got some help from Tenley Anderson and her 34 assists. Henry was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

The win made it two in a row for Dell Rapids and bumps their season record up to 19-4. As for Lennox, they moved to 19-2 with that loss, which also ended their 17-match winning streak.

Dell Rapids wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Dakota Valley on the 6th. As for Lennox, they will be playing at home against Pierre T.F. Riggs at 2:30 p.m. on the 11th.
