Basketball Recap: Sadie Knight's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Saraland over Mcgill-Toolen

Saraland and McGill-Toolen squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Saraland had to settle for second. They took a 42-28 bruising from the McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets. The Spartans have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sadie Knight, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniya Southall, who put up seven points and three steals.

Saraland's defeat dropped their record down to 20-9. As for McGill-Toolen, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 21-6.

As of now, neither Saraland nor McGill-Toolen have any future games scheduled.
