Recap: O'Neal Falcons vs. Cary Christian Knights
This season hasn't been kind to the O'Neal Falcons, who are still winless after their 13th game. The New Year welcomed they with a 76-38 whooping from Cary Christian on Wednesday. O'Neal has not had much luck with Cary Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Andrew Neal was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with five assists and five steals for Cary Christian. The contest was Neal's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Gideon Landry was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds.
O'Neal bumped their record down to 0-13 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Cary Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. O'Neal will take on Berean Baptist Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cary Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against GRACE Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. GRACE Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
