Baseball Recap: Nogales Takes a Loss

Nogales lost against Schurr back in March of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Nobles fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 2-1. The Nobles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jonathan Blacklock made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. Xavier Ortega also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Nogales' loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Schurr, their win bumped their record up to 10-13.

While Nogales had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
