Basketball Recap: Christian Educational Consortium Takes a Loss

Christian Educational Consortium suffered their biggest loss since January 30th on Tuesday. They were dealt a 59-30 defeat at the hands of the Spirit HomeSchool Warhawks. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Christian Educational Consortium's loss came despite strong showings from Jenna Wyndham and Nia Lipic. Wyndham posted 16 points and seven rebounds, while Lipic had four points and seven boards. That was a full 53.3% of Christian Educational Consortium's points, marking the 13th time in a row Wyndham has scored more than a third of the team's points.

Even though they lost, Christian Educational Consortium smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 15 consecutive matchups.

Christian Educational Consortium's loss dropped their record down to 10-19. As for Spirit HomeSchool, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-15 record this season.

Christian Educational Consortium didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-21 defeat against South Guilford HomeSchool on the 5th. As for Spirit HomeSchool, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 39-35 win against Providence Athletic Club on the 5th.
