Recap: Choctawhatchee Indians vs. Booker T. Washington Wildcats
The Choctawhatchee Indians had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They breezed by Booker T. Washington on the road to the tune of 49-7. With Choctawhatchee ahead 28-7 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Among those leading the charge was Jesse Winslette, who threw for 135 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Jonathan Boyd and his 101 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Choctawhatchee's victory.
Choctawhatchee's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Leading the way was Jabori Weeks and his two sacks.
Choctawhatchee's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Booker T. Washington, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Choctawhatchee will head out on the road to face off against Fort Walton Beach at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Fort Walton Beach is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Booker T. Washington, they will be playing at home against Pine Forest at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Pine Forest is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
