Volleyball Recap: Six Straight Home Victories for Columbus

Columbus won the last time they faced Braddock and things went their way on Thursday too. The Columbus Explorers came out on top against the Braddock Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Explorers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 22-25, 25-22, 25-12.

Daniel Rubi paced Columbus' offense, picking up 15 kills. Rubi got some help from Charlie Friguls and his 39 assists. Friguls was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Columbus' victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for Braddock, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Columbus wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against St. Thomas Aquinas on the 10th. As for Braddock, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Southridge on the 7th.
