Volleyball Recap: Indian Land Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Indian Land was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Catawba Ridge Copperheads, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Copperheads this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Indian Land took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-14, 25-18.

Catawba Ridge can attribute much of their success to Davin Freeman, who had 11 digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Freeman a new career-high. Violet Karasch also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Indian Land's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Catawba Ridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8-1 record this season.

Indian Land didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Clover on the 9th. As for Catawba Ridge, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Nation Ford on the 9th.
