Baseball Recap: Brookings-Harbor Comes Up Short

If Brookings-Harbor was riding high fresh off their 15-6 takedown of Bandon/Pacific on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bruins took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Umpqua Valley Christian Monarchs on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bruins of the 4-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Brookings-Harbor dropped their record down to 5-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Umpqua Valley Christian, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Brookings-Harbor and Umpqua Valley Christian will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bruins are set to take on their familiar foe Rogue River at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Umpqua Valley Christian will face off against rival North Douglas/Elkton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
