Softball Recap: Central Hardin Takes a Loss

Central Hardin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marion County Knights. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Central Hardin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Marion County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Coming up, Central Hardin will look to defend their home field on Friday against Fort Knox at 6:00 p.m. Central Hardin is facing Fort Knox at the right time seeing as Fort Knox is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Marion County, they will head out on the road to square off against Mercer County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Marion County's pitchers better be ready for this one: Mercer County has averaged an impressive 9.7 runs per game this season.
