Volleyball Recap: Progreso Takes a Loss

If Progreso was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of IDEA Frontier College Prep on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Ants fell 3-1 to the Lyford Bulldogs on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-15, 21-25, 25-10, 25-18.

Progreso's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Lyford, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 23-12 record this season.

Progreso does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lyford, they will be playing at home against IDEA Robindale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Aviators at the right time seeing as the Aviators are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
