It's playoff time, and Norwood had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took down the Mansfield Lions 59-45 on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Pirates, who have now won eight games in a row.

Autumn Gunter had a dynamite game for Norwood, going 6-for-11 en route to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Gentry Davault, who posted two points in addition to eight assists, seven rebounds, and three steals.

Norwood was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They are 20-2 when they've passed the ball that well.

Norwood's victory bumped their record up to 22-5. As for Mansfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season.

Norwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 45-36 win against Fordland on the 1st. Mansfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
