Soccer Recap: Westminster Academy Takes a Loss

Westminster Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Vermilion Catholic Eagles. The Crusaders were probably out for revenge after losing 2-1 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Westminster Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Vermilion Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Westminster Academy will challenge North Vermilion at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. North Vermilion will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Westminster Academy surely won't give up without a fight. Vermilion Catholic has already played their next matchup, a 5-3 victory against St. Amant on the 25th.
