Softball Recap: Mt. Rainier Rams vs. Tahoma Bears
Mt. Rainier extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping their season record down to 7-8 in the process. They came up short against the Tahoma Bears, falling 21-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-0 back in April.
Mt. Rainier saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Willow Stokes, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.
As for Tahoma, the victory (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 20-2. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won 15 matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
On Tahoma's side, Mia Hammington was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Malina Yelle, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
As of now, neither Mt. Rainier nor Tahoma have any future games scheduled.
