Volleyball Recap: Hayden Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Hayden lost against Meeker back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers came up short against the Cowboys, falling 3-0. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Hayden ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 25-19.

Their offense was headlined by Ella Harris and Lillian Hayden, who picked up eight kills apiece. Harris also shared the team's lead in assists with Chase Howard: they picked up 12 each. Howard was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Hayden's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-9. As for Meeker, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.

Hayden didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Olathe on the 27th. As for Meeker, they will challenge Rangely at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
