Basketball Game Preview: Rawlins County Buffaloes vs. Oakley Plainsmen

The Rawlins County Buffaloes will take on the Oakley Plainsmen in a tournament on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Tuesday, Rawlins County was fully in charge, breezing past Logan/Palco 63-16. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Buffaloes.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rawlins County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kayte Shively, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Shively a new career-high in steals (six). Another player making a difference was Tayten Dewey, who went 7 of 16 en route to 16 points along with six boards and five assists.

Meanwhile, Oakley humbled Wheatland-Grinnell with a 60-31 victory.

The win got Oakley back to even at 1-1. As for Rawlins County, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
