Baseball Game Preview: Thales Academy Rolesville Knights vs. Friendship Christian Falcons

Thales Academy Rolesville is 9-1 against Friendship Christian since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Knights will welcome the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Thales Academy Rolesville has four straight wins, Friendship Christian has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Thales Academy Rolesville was able to grind out a solid victory over Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, taking the game 6-2.

Cooper Nash made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Evan Clark was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one double. Andy Moore was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Friendship Christian was a bit more limited in their matchup last Thursday. They came up short against Thales Academy Rolesville, falling 15-1.

Thales Academy Rolesville's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Friendship Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
