Football Game Preview: Evansville Central Bears vs. Evansville Harrison Warriors

The Evansville Central Bears will take on the Evansville Harrison Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Evansville Central and seven for Evansville Harrison dating back to last season.

Evansville Central is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Jasper on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Bears were dealt a 47-12 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Wildcats are ranked 70th).

Although Evansville Central took the loss, they still got scores from Easton Vetter and Elijah Pendleton.

Meanwhile, Evansville Harrison scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a blow against Vincennes Lincoln, falling 49-7.

Evansville Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Evansville Harrison, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Evansville Central was dealt a bruising 48-6 defeat at the hands of Evansville Harrison when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Bears, Jalen Sutton (who rushed for 191 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
