After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, The New Fairfield Rebels brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They put the hurt on Weston with a sharp 33-7 win on Friday. The victory was just what New Fairfield needed coming off of a 28-6 defeat in their prior contest.
New Fairfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kyle Martin led the charge by picking up 90 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Michael Traynor was another key contributor, throwing for 205 yards and a touchdown.
New Fairfield's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Weston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
New Fairfield will look to defend their home field on Friday against Joel Barlow at 7:00 p.m. Joel Barlow is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Weston, they will head out on the road to face off against New Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
