A Region 4 recap Nov. 7, 2012

Hazen extended the longest winning streak in A Region 4 this week by beating Stanley/Powers Lake, 14-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Bison.

Hazen made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,659 from 4,404. The advance stemmed from a 14-0 victory over the Bluejays last week.

Grant County/Flasher's Taylor Krenz and Zackary Schmidt have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Krenz has thrown for 1355 yards this season, while Schmidt, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 34 catches for 461 yards. Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart]'s Seth Ewoniuk leads the league in rushing yards with 1521.

In 133 carries Cole Hecker has accumulated 994 yard this year.

Rick Philion's team featured an ironclad defense this week, and led the league in points allowed with 0.
