Webster Schroeder never let their opponents score on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over the Bishop Kearney Kings. The win was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won four contests in a row.

Not much got past Liana DeValder, who gave up just two hits and racked up 15 Ks to keep Bishop Kearney off the board. DeValder has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kinsley Keil, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base.

Webster Schroeder pushed their record up to 17-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Kearney, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3.
