Basketball Recap: Elmwood-Murdock Comes Up Short

Elmwood-Murdock lost against Lincoln Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Knights came up short against the Crusaders, falling 68-42.

Despite the loss, Elmwood-Murdock still got an impressive performance from Carson Towle, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Dashiell Coleman, who posted two points in addition to nine assists and eight boards.

Lincoln Christian found their leader in sophomore Carter McCullough, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. Jamison Thies was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.

Elmwood-Murdock's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lincoln Christian, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Elmwood-Murdock will be playing in front of their home fans against Auburn at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln Christian, they have already played their next matchup, a 63-57 victory against Seward on the 9th.
