Basketball Recap: Oakhill Christian Starts Season with Victory at Home

Oakhill Christian took care of business in their home opener on Thursday. They walked away with a 44-36 win over Mountain Top Christian. The victory was nothing new for the Royals as they're now sitting on seven straight dating back to last season.

Mountain Top Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Gracie Greeb, who posted six points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Shalonda Becker, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mountain Top Christian fell to 2-1.

Oakhill Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Rock County Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Mountain Top Christian also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Wisconsin School for the Deaf at 5:00 p.m. on January 14, 2025.
