Recap: Dothan Wolves vs. Auburn Tigers
The Dothan Wolves pushed their score all the way to 60 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Auburn by a score of 62-60. Dothan lost against Auburn in their previous head to head back in November of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 67-60 score last time.
Auburn's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bradley Pearson, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Gonia, who scored 11 points.
Dothan's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 9-5. As for Auburn, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
Dothan will finish 2023 at home by hosting Carroll at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Auburn will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Gulf Shores at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Gulf Shores will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 159th, while Auburn is ranked 31st).
