Basketball Recap: Stringer Takes a Loss

Stringer lost against Clarkdale two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Stringer Red Devils took a 55-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clarkdale Bulldogs. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clarkdale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cade Culpepper, who posted 12 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The dominant performance also gave Culpepper a new career-high in blocks (three). Connor Mcdill was another key player, putting up 18 points along with six boards and four steals.

Stringer's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Clarkdale, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Stringer and Enterprise will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Clarkdale will take on Noxapater in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clarkdale is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season.
