Baseball Recap: Bayside Find Success

Bayside's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Kempsville Chiefs by a score of 6-3. This was payback for the Marlins, who suffered a 12-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Barry Farias Jr tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, Bayside saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tayden Jackson, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. William ?Austin? Blakesley was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Bayside's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Kempsville, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bayside will take on Landstown at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kempsville, they will challenge Green Run at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kempsville is facing Green Run at the right time seeing as Green Run is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
