Football Game Preview: Eastside Eagles vs. Gaffney Indians + How To Watch

The Eastside Eagles will face off against the Gaffney Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Eastside lost 42-17 to Boiling Springs on Friday. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Peyton Schrader, who rushed for 69 yards and one TD. Eastside also got a significant boost from Kelyn Durham, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 80 yards.

Meanwhile, Gaffney faced Spartanburg in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Indians came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 28-21. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Eastside better keep an eye on Josiah Hill. He was instrumental in Gaffney's win, rushing for 97 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Gaffney was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 240 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Gaffney didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Ty McGill. Gaffney got some further help from Zyon Ratchford: he made 12 total tackles and defended two passes.

This is the second loss in a row for Eastside and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Gaffney, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.
