Baseball Recap: Crestview Finds Home Field Redemption Against New London

There's no place like home for Crestview, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They blew past the New London Wildcats 12-2 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-5 back in April.

Drew Spoerr made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Crestview's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for New London, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
