Broadalbin-Perth lost to Coxsackie-Athens back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Patriots blew past the Riverhawks 9-1. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by exactly eight runs.

Riley Fenton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Blake Shields was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

Broadalbin-Perth has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Coxsackie-Athens, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-5.

As of now, neither Broadalbin-Perth nor the Riverhawks have any future games scheduled.
