Baseball Recap: West Branch Takes a Loss

West Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wilton Beavers. If the Bears were looking for revenge after losing 11-8 to the Beavers when the teams met back in June of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

West Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Wilton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Wilton beat West Branch by a score of 12-0 later that day.
