Rocky Hill Country Day was the 77-44 winner over Lexington Christian Academy when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rocky Hill Country Day Mariners took a blow against the Lexington Christian Academy Lions on Monday, falling 64-35. The Mariners were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-17.

When it comes to explaining why Rocky Hill Country Day lost, don't look at Lily Sokol. Despite the final result, she went 9-for-16 on her way to 22 points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks. That was a full 62.9% of Rocky Hill Country Day's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

This is the second loss in a row for Rocky Hill Country Day and nudges their season record down to 8-8. As for Lexington Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coincidentally, Rocky Hill Country Day and Lexington Christian Academy will both be playing Bancroft the next time they take the court. Lexington Christian Academy will host Bancroft at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Rocky Hill Country Day will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
