Volleyball Game Preview: Carolina Academy Trojans vs. Powdersville Patriots

Carolina Academy is 0-10 against Powdersville since September of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Trojans are taking a road trip to square off against the Patriots at 7:00 p.m.

Carolina Academy came up short against Christ Church Episcopal on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-2, 25-9, 25-7.

Meanwhile, Powdersville waltzed into their matchup on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Hurricanes by a score of 3-1. The game was the first time the Patriots have beaten the Hurricanes on their court since September 20, 2022.

Powdersville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-15.

Carolina Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Powdersville, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Carolina Academy suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Powdersville when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
