Recap: Onaga Buffaloes vs. Clifton-Clyde Eagles

The Onaga Buffaloes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They were dealt a 70-41 defeat at the hands of Clifton-Clyde. Onaga has not had much luck with Clifton-Clyde recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Onaga's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Konnor Nider, who scored 14 points along with five assists. Another player making a difference was Jackson Kolterman, who scored ten points.

Onaga struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Onaga's loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Clifton-Clyde, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

Onaga will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Frankfort at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Onaga focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. As for Clifton-Clyde, they will head out on the road to face off against Valley Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clifton-Clyde is facing Valley Heights at the right time seeing as Valley Heights is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
