Ahead of the 2021 high school football season, MaxPreps is breaking down the top senior prospects in the country state-by-state as rated by 247Sports. We continue the series with Pennsylvania, which opens play Aug. 27.

Pennsylvania’s top tier talent is spread out. Only three schools have two or more top 25 talents on their respective rosters: Neuman Goretti (three), LaSalle (two) and Imhotep (two). Three of the country’s top 15 edge players, including the No.  1 prospect, call Pennsylvania home. The state is also home to the country’s No. 1 RB prospect – Governor Mifflin’s Nicholas Singleton, who is committed to Penn State. The state’s top two positions are LB (five) and WR (three).



As of Aug. 8, 20 of the 25 have committed to colleges, headlined by Penn State with seven. Rutgers, West Virginia and South Carolina each have two.

Country’s No. 1 edge prospect holds 43 offers, including Clemson, Penn State, USC, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Florida. Recently announced final four are Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia and Texas A&M.

2. Nick Singleton | Governor Mifflin (Shillington)
6-0 | 210 | RB | Penn State Commit

Country’s No. 1 running back prospect is looking for fourth straight 1,000-yard season.

3. Anthony Ivey | Manheim Township (Lancaster)
6-0 | 190 | WR | Penn State

Averaged nearly 25 yards per reception last year en route to being named second team MaxPreps All-State.

4. Mehki Flowers | Central Dauphin East (Harrisburg)
6-1 | 190 | WR | Penn State

First team MaxPreps All-State last year after helping Steelton-Highspire claim 1A state championship.

5. Tyreese Fearbry | Perry Traditional Academy (Pittsburgh)
6-5 | 225 | EDGE | Undecided

Three-sport athlete (basketball and track) had 29 tackles, 10 TFL and five sacks in five games last year.

6. Anthony Johnson | Neumann-Goretti (Philadelphia)
6-1 | 230 | LB | Rutgers

Top 25 linebacker prospect nationally holds offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Penn State and Oregon.



7. Keenan Nelson Jr | St. Joseph's Prep (Philadelphia)

Four-star recruit and first team MaxPreps All-State selection last year is the state’s top defensive back prospect.

Four-star prospect was first team MaxPreps All-State last year. Penn State commit holds 12 offers, including LSU, South Carolina, Mississippi and Kentucky.

10. Samuel Brown | La Salle College (Wyndmoor)
6-1 | 195 | RB | Rutgers

Top 30 running back prospect nationally was second team MaxPreps All-State last year.

11. Beau Pribula | Central York
6-2 | 215 | QB | Penn State

Helped Panthers to a 6A runner-up finish by accounting for over 2,500 yards of total offense and 46 touchdowns last year en route to earning second team MaxPreps All-State honors.

12. Ryan Brubaker | Cocalico (Denver)
6-6 | 280 | OT | South Carolina

Three-star prospect picked the Gamecocks over Penn State, Pitt, Michigan, Florida, Tennessee, Stanford, Nebraska, Virginia and Vanderbilt among others.



13. Keon Wylie | Imhotep Charter (Philadelphia)
6-2 | 210 | LB | Penn State

One of the country’s Top 60 linebacker prospects. Had 25 tackles, 12 sacks and seven TFL last season.

14. Donovan Hinish | Central Catholic (Pittsburgh)
6-2 | 275 | DL | Notre Dame

Three-star prospect was second team MaxPreps All-State last year.

15. Raliegh Collins III | Neumann-Goretti (Philadelphia)
6-3 | 205 | LB | West Virginia

One of the country’s Top 70 linebacker prospects. Also holds offers from Oregon, Penn State, Maryland, Boston College, Cincinnati and Mississippi.

16. Patrick Body Jr. | Gateway (Monroeville)
6-1 | 200 | CB | Cincinnati
State’s top cornerback prospect picked the Bearcats over Pitt, Rutgers, Illinois and West Virginia among others.

17. Anthony Smith | Shippensburg
6-6 | 265 | DL | Minnesota

Second team MaxPreps All-State last year after recording 14 tackles-for-loss, nine sacks and forced three fumbles. Accounted for 10 touchdowns on offense.

18. Kevin Thomas | Neumann-Goretti (Philadelphia)
6-3 | 187 | WR | West Virginia

Picked the Mountaineers over Oregon, Texas A&M, Florida, Tennessee, Michigan State and Mississippi among others.

19. Justin Kanyuk | Bethlehem Catholic

State’s second ranked offensive lineman.



20. Sean Fitzsimmons | Central Valley (Monaca)

First team MaxPreps All-State selection led team in tackles (112), tackles-for-loss (36) and sacks (18) as CV captured its first state title (3A).

21. Cade Yacamelli | Penn-Trafford (Harrison City)

Three-star prospect had 1,222 all-purpose yards and 12 TDs last year.
