Franklin is 8-2 against Smoky Mountain since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers will square off against the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. Franklin is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.

On Tuesday, Franklin got the win against North Henderson by a conclusive 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Franklin took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-14, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Smoky Mountain came up short against West Henderson on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-15.

Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 21-2. As for Smoky Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.

Everything went Franklin's way against Smoky Mountain in their previous meeting back in September, as Franklin made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
