Soccer Game Preview: Peabody vs. Milan

For the first time this season, Peabody will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Friday. They will head out to face off against the Milan Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Peabody will be strutting in after a win while Milan will be coming in after a loss.

Peabody's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on South Fulton with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Golden Tide haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Edgar Chavez and Anthony Cano scored all three of Peabody's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, after soaring to nine goals the game before, Milan was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 6-1 to Lexington. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their undefeated season.

Peabody's victory bumped their record up to 2-0-1. As for Milan, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Peabody came up short against Milan in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Peabody avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
