Soccer Recap: Luling Takes a Loss

Luling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 11-0 to the San Antonio Memorial Minutemen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Minutemen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in February.

Luling's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for San Antonio Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Luling will square off against John F. Kennedy at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. John F. Kennedy will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each game than the last. As for San Antonio Memorial, they will take on Yoakum at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Antonio Memorial will be up against Yoakum's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.6 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
