Espanola Valley lost against St. Pius X back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Espanola Valley Sundevils came up short against the St. Pius X Sartans, falling 51-29. The Sundevils' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Espanola Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for St. Pius X, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.

Espanola Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Capital at 7:00 p.m. on January 14th. As for St. Pius X, they are taking a road trip to challenge Gallup at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
