Volleyball Recap: Malvern Comes Up Short

Malvern lost against Claymont back in October of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Hornets fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 2-1.

Kendyl Wallace was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 14 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Ronald, who had 11 digs and two assists.

Malvern has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season. As for Claymont, with the win, they broke their eight-match losing streak and moved their record to 9-13.

Coming up, Malvern will be taking part in a tournament against Bishop Rosecrans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Claymont, they will take on Ridgewood in a tournament on Monday.
