Mercy School Institute suffers sixth straight loss on the road

The Mercy School Institute Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Wesleyan Christian, falling 56-9. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mercy School Institute has scored all season.

Despite the loss, Mercy School Institute saw an underclassman step up: Avha Kazi scored seven points.

Mercy School Institute's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.2 points per game. As for Wesleyan Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-13.

Mercy School Institute's road trip will continue as they head out to face Trinity at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Trinity comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Wesleyan Christian, they will be playing at home against South Coffeyville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
